  Storm enjoying the snow!

Our dogs are powered on a combination of Blue Buffalo and Taste of the Wild as well as raw foods and meat!  We find this diet leads to less vet visits and a healthier / happier dog!
About Us
We are a small hobby kennel located in Central Missouri on ten acres in the Mark Twain National Forrest. We have owned German Shepherds since 1993 when I fell in love with a two year old German Shepherd that we rescued. She had been tied to her doghouse and her family moved away and left her. She had been starved, abused and had an imbedded collar. Despite all this she managed to trust me and became a loyal, loving dog and a great member of the family. When we brought our daughter home from the hospital, she lay beside her crib and became her protector.   I fell in love with the breed.   Berlin passed over the rainbow bridge in 2003.  We creamated her and placed her under the kids old oak tree.

Today, we have three females and our male, Fedo, whom are in the house with us most of the time. If we are outside in the yard, they are free to explore the three and a half acres that are fenced. We also have a kennel building to allow them time outside and the ability to rotate dogs through the house.   In 2005 I got involved with Schutzhund when I purchased Storm. I researched German Shepherds for nearly two years before purchasing her.  I then became a member of Mid Missouri Hundesport and of Schutzhund USA. Although Mid-Missouri Hundesport is no longer a club (due to the death of our helper Mike Bushman), I remain involved in research and keeping up with the latest news and events, and am still a member of USA.  I keep up the skills we have learned. Our family has a four acre field next to the house which is great for tracking. I have attended NASS (North American Seiger Show) as well as participated in regional and local events. And you can often see us on the Katy trail with a German Shepherd next to our bicycles, or perhaps at one of our kids baseball games or soccer practice.

My goal in breeding is to produce the "Total" German Shepherd Dog. One that is able to work as well as be a loyal family member.  We selectively breed for correct structure, workability, temperment, intelligence, health and longevity. Our pedigrees are heavily based on Kirschental lines, known for their beauty, brains, movement and herding /working abilities.
